Newark Boys lacrosse

The Newark varsity lacrosse team will rely heavily on senior Chad Crockford this season for scoring power and leadership. Crockford was honorable mention last year in the Finger-Lakes East scoring 20 goals for Newark along with 11 assists for 31 team points.

Senior Cory Marcano is expected to help Crockford in the scoring department. Corey scored four times on the year and had a team high 13 assists. Junior Ryan Kuperus added seven goals last year along with three assists. Dan Stone will assist head Coach David Gioseffi this season.

Other varsity members are seniors Rob Allen, Foster Fulkerson, and Don Maugiri; juniors Eric Decker, Jon Finewood, Brad DeVelder, Brad Heidrick, Ian Kardys, Mike Miller, goalie Aaron Quku, Jared VanDusen and Jason Whitbeck; sophmores include Zeb Phillips, Mark Rogers, and Mike Rogers.

The Newark JV team consists of the following players for 1999: Sophmores Luke Adams, Casey Cowell, Chris Howell; freshmen John Baker, Dan Behlau, Sean Brown, Matt Chamberlain, Jason Durfee, Zach Griepsma, Matt Hobbs, Bryan Johnson, Henry Kuperus, Nate Morgan, Marc Muscolino, Adam Nedvesky, Jeff Peters, Adam Quku, Travis Rohlin, Jimmy Russell, and Angel Santana.
