CROP Walk in Newark What is CROP? C - caring people reaching out to those who are less fortunate; R - raising money so people in nearby Appalachia and far away Africa will have funds - for seeds to grow crops and feed themselves; O - over 50 years of operation for the ongoing outreach of the CROP program; P - people helping people by providing financial, and spiritual support to the world's people. This is what CROP is. You are invited to be part of it by participating in the Newark CROP WALK on Saturday, May 1, from 9 to noon. Mark your calendar and dust off your walking shoes. No matter what your level of stamina, there is a walk for you. Choose from the wheelchair safe one-mile walk or the longer three- and six-mile events. Strollers and wagons are welcome. Newark money supports the Newark Food Closet, Home Meal Service, Come-Unity Center, and the Newark Free Lunch Program.
