The Arcadia Historical Society Museum Exhibits Committee is interested in both loans and donations of items relating to the Jackson & Perkins Rose Co. of Newark. Exhibits are being planned for the museum's opening to the public on June 12, to coincide with Newarkfest '99.

J&P artifacts may be brought to the Arcadia Museum on Tuesday, May 4, from 7-8 p.m. where the Exhibits Committee will be looking at items for the museum's first displays. The museum is located at 120 High St. Please use the side door entrance on Mason St.

Potential artifacts may also be picked up from now until May 4 by phoning Chris Davis, Exhibit Committee Chairman, at 331-4078.

Items are being sought by former employees as well as local collectors. Things such as photographs, movies, signs, advertising items, catalogs, tin rose tags, trade publications, books, and other memorabilia are of interest.

More information on the museum's opening and first exhibits will be coming.
