Firemen's Field Days in Newark Over the past 24 years the Newark Firemen and SOFO amusement have brought to Wayne County one of the largest Firemen's Field Days.
Saturday is a family fun day. The carnival opens at 10 a.m. There are unlimited rides between 1 and 4 p.m. for only $9. Also during those hours, get a chance to win one of two bikes. At 4 p.m. the drawing will be held and you must be present to win. Then at 6:30 p.m. the fireman's parade will begin, ending at the carnival grounds. After the parade, stay and eat food, play games, ride the rides, and have fun. Lunches are served daily at the fireman's field starting at 11. Wednesday, May 12 kicks off the weekly events. Rides open up at 6
p.m. And then again at 6 p.m. on Thursday. Friday night is a great night for family fun.
The famous chicken BBQ starts at noon and rides open again at 6 p.m. Fireworks are planned
for 10 p.m. Friday (or Saturday if it rains).
