Arcadia Caucus date set

The Arcadia Republican Committee voted Tuesday to change the date of the June caucus. The GOP will gather on June 15 at the Newark High School. Registration will begin at 7 p.m., and the gavel will fall at 7:30.

Committee Vice Chair Mary Ann Nicosia-McCarthy said that she expects a large turn out for what she considers an extremely important beginning to the November election season. She remarked that caucus is "where true democracy speaks" and she encourages all party members to attend. "Let your voice be heard."

In coming weeks, candidates who seek these posts will emerge: Supervisor, Town Clerk, Highway Supt., Town Justice and Town Council (2).

Prospective GOP candidates should contact Chairman Paul Johnson, or any other committee member, to set up an interview.
