Clothes Encounters at Arts Council

Opening on August 14 at Wayne County Council for the Arts is Deborah D. Teska's exhibition.

Comprised of drawings and paper-pulp paintings (3D pieces painted with colored paper pulp) of laundry drying on clotheslines locally and abroad, this show also includes a photo-montage depicting the process involved in painting with paper pulp.

Teska is a resident of North Rose and teaches art at North Rose-Wolcott High School. This is the artist's first solo exhibit at the Arts Council.

An opening reception will be held on August 14 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided by Heluva Good Cheese.

The Arts Council is located at the corner of Broad and Water Streets in Lyons. Normal gallery and office hours are weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays during shows from 10 a.m. to noon, or by appointment. Call 946.5078 for more information.
