When driving up Maple Avenue (the street by the bank), take a notice of the Marion Fire Hall with its new coat of fire engine red paint.

August 12, 1926: Annual school meeting of District #1 elected John Howell trustee in place of C.H. Schutt and Charles Seybold in place of Roy Franks. Other trustees are Lucien Sweezey, Kate Natt and Milo Fisher. A budget of $32,298.22 was adopted for 1926-27. $1,000 was added for the claim of Dryer and Dryer architects. Three pieces of school property at Cory Corners, Eddy Ridge and Ball Districts will be sold at public auction.

In honor our son Jim's birthday on August 6, our family enjoyed a scrumptious brunch buffet at the newly reopened Garlock House in Palmyra.

Remember: The Wayne Drumlins Region 22nd annual Antique Car Show and Flea Market will be held at the Marion Town Park on Sunday, August 15. Don't forget to stop by the United Church's booth for the strawberry shortcakes.

Lillian Cherrier of Sunset Drive, is one of the members of the Heritage Baptist Church Choir who spent form August 8-11 presenting musical programs at the Music College in Lansing, PA.

Shirley and Dick Murphy welcomed their daughter, Dawn, and son, Shane, for a two-week visit from Maysville, Georgia.

Kyle Haak and Erin Bushart presented a touching rendition of Amazing Grace for the Ministry of Music at the Second Reformed Church on August 8.

"Worry pulls today's clouds over tomorrow's sunshine."

Friends, Hope Ryckman, Joanne DeVries and Carolyn Adriaansen met at the Normandy Inn for lunch on Tuesday, before traveling to Hope's cottage to spend the afternoon.

John and Annie Stuiver, children and grandchildren, from Rotterdam, Netherlands, spent time with their cousins, George and Annie Dickson and Ike DeBack and their Uncle Issac DeBack. The trip was on the occasion of the 50th wedding anniversary of the Stuivers and was a gift from their family.
