On August 6 the Hummel family in Lyons welcomed their new son, Paulo Hilton Costa DaSilva. Paulois from Forteleza, Brazil.

He is 16 years old and will be spending the year in Lyons as part of the AFS program. Paulo will attend the Lyons Jr. Sr. High School. Paulo enjoys playing soccer, chess, basketball and reading. He is looking forward to making new friends and learning all about his new home.

His host parents are The Rev. Cynthia Huling Hummel and Jon Hummel. They have two children: Emilie is 16 and Bill is 14.
