Wayne County briefs When Wayne County Supervisors met Tuesday morning, legislators: Authorized negotiations to lease or purchase the Newark building that will soon be vacated by the NYS Emergency Management Office. Thelma Wideman, County Director of Emergency Management will assist with the negotiations. Her offices are currently located in the county's Route 31 complex. Accepted a bid of $94,000 for construction of a new pavilion, restrooms and storage building at B. Forman Park. The bid went to Nicoletta Building Contractors of Clyde. Enacted a clothing and footwear sales tax exemption for September 1 through Sept. 7. Accepted a $3,300 bid for two surplus boats from the Sheriff's Dept.: an 18-ft. 1984 Boston Whaler and a 24-ft. 1983 Thompson. The boats will go to Gerald Relyea of Fairport. Authorized an agreement with Dr. Frank Edwards to serve as Medical Director of the E911 Communications Department.
