IEC honors longtime workers

A luncheon was held Friday at the Newark Quality Inn, to celebrate five new 20-year IEC workers.

New members of the President's Club are Sue Simmons, Sharon Beck, Deborah Forjone, Helen Bissell and Lucinda Switzer.

Stingel will officially retire on October 1, but he will remain with IEC as a consultant to Fradin.

Stingel said the industry and its customers are changing. For many years, personal computers were 90 percent of the business. Now, the PC segment is about 10 percent. IEC now serves industrial computer customers and the telecommunications industry.

People who retired with 20 or more years of service are Berna Trumble (1971-97), Robert Branch (1971-97), Eleanor Faro (1976-98), Patricia Orbaker (1977-97) and Ed Butke (1970-98).

Stingel said, 'Look at the number of people who have been with the company for 20 or more years. They are dedicated and loyal to IEC and have put a great amount of time into building this company.'
