Bagpipes at
the Point

An crowd estimated at well over 500 was on hand last Sunday afternoon to watch the Rochester Scottish Bagpipe Band march and play. The weather at the Old Sodus Point Lighthouse was excellent, as were the refreshments provided by volunteers of the Sodus Bay Historical Society. Civil War buffs were able to view an encampment at the park earlier in the day.

Be on hand this Sunday for The Pan Loco Steel Band. The band begins at 3 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the ringing sounds of island music in this beautiful lakeside setting. The museum and gift shop will be open from 10 to 5 on Sunday.
