Newark Chamber briefs

When the Greater Newark Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors met Tuesday, too few people attended to make up a quorum. No official business was conducted. Those present discussed the coming year.

President Dave Doebler requested that the general membership be encouraged to sit on Board committees. He also discussed the resurrection of a Welcome New Business Committee.

The Board has a vacancy for a one-year term, and also a vacant Secretary's post. Interested members should contact the Chamber office at 331.2705.

Len Kataskas, of the BOCES Career Center, gave a brief presentation, telling how his E. Maple Ave. office in Newark offers employment services. If your company is in need of employees, contact the Center at 331.2318 or e-mail LKataskas@edutech.org
