Our books for the week:

Wednesday is Spaghetti Day by Maryann Cocca-Leffler. We may think that when we leave the house, our cats just sit and enjoy a nap in the warm sunshine on the back of the couch, but this story tells us differently. Actually, our cats seem to be quite busy during the week, having company and doing lunch. It's amazing how fast they can clean up the house when we get home from work and school. A funny and strangely informative book.

The Caterpillow Fight by Sam McBratney. A fun book about the caterpillar little ones who are having trouble getting to sleep. What else is there to do when you just can't sleep? What about a pillow fight? Apparently caterpillers have them, too, but their parents react in a little different manner. A fun rhyming story that gets even the most experienced tongues confused.

The Grumpy Morning by Darcia Labrosse. It is amazing how much animals take on our characteristics. When the farmer oversleeps, all the animals are upset. Something just isn't right. They are hungry, so they all go to the farmer's room to let her know it's time to get up.

A Little Bit of Winter by Paul Stewart. Hedgehog and Rabbit are great friends, but it is wintertime and hedgehog has to go to sleep, but he doesn't want to miss winter. Hedgehog comes up with a great idea and writes it down for Rabbit: 'Please save a little bit of winter for when I wake up.' It is funny the way rabbit tries to save winter for Hedgehog. Winter and snow are not easy to save you know.

Who's Sick Today? by Lynne Cherry. (This sounds like my house. someone is always sick.) An easy-to-read story rhyming book about animals who all get sick. A baby red fox has chicken pox, a chimp with a limp and a llama in his pajamas. A cute story for all to enjoy.
