During the week of December 14-18, the Principal's Advisory Committee (PAC), comprised of the president or vice president of grades 7-12 and Student Council, sponsored a food drive to benefit shut-ins and needy families. Souper Bowl Sunday at the United Church is January 24. No, they haven't misspelled souper, nor have they gotten the date wrong. The Souper Bowl of Caring is a national effort to encourage people to give one dollar each and a non-perishable food item as they leave worship on the 24th. Their young people will collect the money and the canned goods, and bring them to the tailgate party in the parking lot from 4-6 p.m. Other youth groups in the Wayne Area Youth program will join them for hot dogs and snacks. Money and food collected at the United Church will go to the Marion Food Pantry.
