Newark Hurricanes play summer soccer

The Newark Hurricanes are finishing the first half of their schedule. Currently they are 1-7-1. Along with the loss of seven members from last year's team, sweeper Saul Bueso didn't return to the team until recently, due to knee surgery. Of the six losses, three have been by one goal. With six of the remaining nine games at home and the team coming together, the second half looks bright.

Players for the 'Canes are Nelson Velasquez, Jeremiah Jackson, Adam Rosario, Dan McIntyre, Myke Bueg, Mark De Young, Sandy Bueso, Jorge Bueso, Oscar Acosta, John Brunner, and Mike Tonovitz.

After taking last season off, Oner Apak and Scott Mooney return to the team this year.

New to the team this year are Brian Beh (Wayne), Howie Cauwels (Pal-Mac), Jon Dedrick (Newark), and Doug Koch (Avon).

More information about the RDSL can be found on the net at www.rdsl.org
