Swim, Bike & Run - Fitness can be fun! The Sodus Point Beach will be the location for a Mini Triathlon for children ages 6 to 12 years, directed by the Sodus Point Community Center (SPCC) and sponsored by Newark Wegmans and McDonald's Restaurants. All Wayne county children are invited.

This is a participation event, NOT A RACE. Every finisher is a winner and receives a medal.

The triathlon will begin at the Sodus Point Beach, six miles off route 104, on Sunday morning, August 8 at 9:30 a.m. The course will take participants between one and two miles returning them to the finish line at the beach. Actual course distance will vary by age.

A registration fee of $5 will be collected at the event. Registration is limited to 100 children. The first 50 registrants will receive complimentary coupon packages from area vendors. Refreshments will be served.

Both a bike and helmet are required to participate.

An opportunity for youth to view the course and ask questions will be provided on Saturday, August 7 at 1 p.m. at the Sodus Point Beach Pavilion.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help on the course and at the beach.
