Clyde-on-the-Erie Arts Festival

The Clyde-on-the-Erie Arts Festival is planned for July 24 and 25. There will be a town-wide garage sale for the opening on July 23. The focus of the weekend activities is to let local residents and friends know that the Village of Clyde, Partnership group CIDC and the Chamber have a number of projects directed toward growth and progress. Community residents, organizations, and Village officials are offering their expertise and assistance. There will be Arts & Crafts vendors for the Park area, and a variety of exhibits and demonstrations of local and outside talent.

Plans also feature Breakfast in the Park, 5K Run (open to all), Kiddie Parade, Street Dance, Ecumenical Service, Chicken BBQ dinner, Auto Show, awards and prizes.

Also: a three-day Town-wide permit waived Garage Sale, horse drawn buggy rides, karate, food sales, palm reading, hours of live bands, face painting, dancers, canine dog, petting zoo, jugglers, clowns, NYS Police exhibits, DJ's, Drug Awareness, blood pressure checks and many more.

The Clyde Savannah Cub Scouts Pack #162 is sponsoring a Native American Pow Wow on Saturday, July 24 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in conjunction with the Festival at the Fireman's Field in Clyde. Iroquois Social dancers and Thunder Lizard singers will entertain. The Iroquois Social Dancers are an interactive educational group of nine dancers, singers and one narrator. The Thunder Lizard singers are a instrumental group featuring western drums and flutes.

This project is made possible with public funds from the State Council of the Arts Decentralization Program of Wayne County and admission is free of charge.
