By Carolyn Adriaansen (926-4436) Mary Lanzone and Carre Barber are to be congratulated. Mary will play in the Ronald McDonald All Star Game at the War Memorial, on March 25. She is the second Marion girl ever chosen to play in this game. Barber will play in the Exceptional Senior Game on March 25 at the Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls. Sharing Weekend at St. Gregory's is March 6 and 7. Support your Marion Food Cupboard by bringing your food and money to the church. "We must not only give what we have; we must also give what we are." (Cardinal Mercia) Carmen Bushart is doing well following shoulder surgery. Abe VerPlank is recovering at home. March 6 is the Senior Dinner Dance. March 12 and 13, High School Musical - "Hello Dolly" at 8 p.m. at the High School. Diane VanLare spent several days over the February break with her daughter, Lauza and son-in-law Jamie Eggleston in Schnectady. While there they went shopping, to the movies and a play in Albany at the Capital Rep. Playhouse - and of course, went out to lunch! Lots of fun for all. Invite A Friend Sunday is scheduled for March 7 at the United Church. Everyone is invited to worship with the congregation and have the opportunity to see their newly renovated Christian Education and Fellowship facilities. Thanks to the efforts of Rhonda Hares and Valerie Corteville, the Junior High School youth at the United Church are enjoying a "full service" program. They neet on Sunday evening once a month, and are involved in a number of projects. Recently they provided greeters, ushers, and a lay reader for the worship service. Their efforts are appreciated! Congratulations to Jason and Jennifer Cantwell on the birth of Adam Joel, on February 20. He was born at the Genesee Hospital and weighed 7 lbs. and 5 oz. and measured 22 inches. Proud grandmother is Joyce Cantwell of Dormedy Hill Road. Joe and Lorraine Spychalski of Spring Hill, Bob And Anne Marion of Venice, and Russ and Dee Scott and Fran and Marge DeWind from Bradenton, all of Florida, enjoyed dinner with Father Bob Gaudio from St. Anne's and St. Gregory's Parish. All met at Levenrock's Restaurant for a nice visit! MARCH 3, 1932 - Nearly 140 tickets have been sold for the supper at the Masonic Temple, Monday, spoksored by Richards Chapter, OES. Table decorations will be gladioli sent from Florida by Mrs. Glenna Eick. Marion kindergarten registration for September will be Wednesday, March 17, 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Children must be 5 years old by December 1, 1999. Parents need to bring their child's birth certificate, immunization record signed by a doctor or health clinic, and Social Security card. Registration at the Marion Elementary School main office.
