What a great week to get into the dirt of the garden (or just enjoy the fact that there is no shoveling to be done). That always makes me happy! Our duck couple hasn't been seen in a few days. The other day, Mother duck and her duckings - all eight of them - went waddling across the backyard yesterday. I went for the camera but, for little waddlers, they move pretty fast. With bomb scares all over, I'm sure everyone involved with school can't wait for summer vacation to come. Monday, Brockport and Spencerport schools had many students stay home and, later in the week, it was my son's turn. I went back and forth in my mind and decided to play it safe. A friend of my son's wrote him an e-mail telling him how scary the bomb scare in Sodus school was.
Condolences to Eileen Hooper's family on the loss of her Grandmother, she will be missed. Eileen's mom is back from Florida and soon the Hooper family - Eileen, Doug, Bobby, Susan and Brian will be living in sunny Florida (to be rejoined by her Mom in the fall). No more shoveling for them.
www.co.monroe.ny.us/health/hottopics.html Speaking of Alice Clark, wish her and husband Doug a Happy Wedding Anniversary on May 25. My son was invited to a birthday party at Lazer Quest on Sunday where he met up with some of his friends from the Church of Epiphany. It was nice to see people from Sodus. We stopped to chat with Cory Ginette and Lori Thurston for a few minutes. Hope the teen group from Sodus had as much fun as my son did. Sarah had another training class this week. She's getting better. I'm sure she finds it unfair that the children get a Frosty treat after she has done all the work, sitting and staying, up and down. (Usually it's her tail and tongue that never stop, but when you pull into a fast food place her nose goes wild!)
Enjoy your week and remember to send me special dates and events. Let me know what you've been up to. Copyright © 1999 |
