Biblical programs scheduled

Preparing for Christmas with the Prophets is the topic of the first St. Bernard's-on-the-Road program on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Church of the Epiphany in Sodus.

The Rev. George Heyman, who has a doctorate in Hebrew Scriptures, will begin the journey to Christmas and beyond.

Second program: Wednesday, Nov. 17, the Rev. Sebastian Falcone will present, 'From Reading to Living the Scriptures.' He is a professor of Biblical Studies and will explore Scriptural Prayer with the audience prayer that can create the bridge between reading and living the Scriptures. This program will be at St. Anne's Church in Palmyra.

Both programs run from 7:30-9:30 p.m. There is no charge, and a free-will offering will be taken.

St. Bernard's-on-the-Road programs are sponsored by Catholic churches, drawing on visiting speakers or the professors from St. Bernard's Institute.
