Book signing at Arcadia Museum There will be a book-signing at the Arcadia Museum, 120 High St., on Saturday, November 20, from 1-3 p.m. Beth M. Hoad will sign copies of her newly-published first book, An East Palmyra Story. The hard-cover, 191-page limited edition books will be available for sale at the book-signing and afterwards in the museum's gift shop, for $30 each. The book's subtitle is, The Influence of the Humphrey Shearman family on the early development of East Palmyra and the surrounding area. A portion of the book deals with the history of Newark, including the Sherman Opera House, among other Newark businesses in the Sherman family. Part of the proceeds of each book will benefit projects of the Arcadia Historical Society. Copyright © 1999 |
