Newark Central Park is the traditional setting for the
Nov. 11 ceremony and salute to the war dead. The names of war casualtY, veterans from World War I to the
Vietnam War, were read by Ernie Mori and Charlie Schade.
Mori is the commander of the Newark VFW, and Schade
commands the American Legion. The war memorial is situated at the west end of the park.
The high school band played the national anthem and
