BOATSMART class in Newark

Red Jacket Power Squadron of the United States Power Squadrons, Sail and Power Boating will sponsor a BOAT SMART class.

Adults and youth are encouraged to attend at Newark High School starting on Tues. Sept. 28, 7-9 p.m. JET SMART will be available. Certificates will be issued to all who complete the course. An adult must accompany anyone under 16.

Youth under 18 need a certificate to operate alone.

Save up to 10% on boat insurance.

JET SMART for Jet-Ski operators.

The Newark class for 2000 season. Graduates can join USPS and partake of much more education, fun and civic service.

Learn to:

Operate your boat legally, select the right boat Mooring, Docking & Anchoring Lines, Knots & Hitches, Hazardous Conditions, Trailering Life Jackets/PFDs, Navigation Lights Navigation Rules & Right of Way, Man Overboard Distress Signals, USCG Safety Standards, Medical Emergency, etc.

This will take place at Newark High School in Room 306;

Tuesdays Sept. 28; Oct. 5,12,19

The fee is $15 for BOAT SMART text and materials (text can be shared)

$25 for JET SMART text, video and materials
