Canoe trip Sept. 25 on Mud Creek

Referring to the Ganargua River (Mud Creek) as one of the most beautiful natural resources in Wayne County, Arcadia Town Supervisor Dom Bartucca and Palmyra Supervisor Dave Lyon are inviting enthusiasts to tour the creek by canoe on Saturday, September 25.

The trip will begin at 10 a.m. at Swifts Landing in Palmyra, and will end at Norsen Bridge Park in Arcadia. Wayne County's tourism office is supportive of the canoe trip , which is an effort to promote recreational opportunities in the area.

Canoes for the trip will be provided, as well as life jackets, but supplies are limited. Those who are able to supply their own are urged to do so.

At the end of the trip, about two to three hours, a picnic lunch will be enjoyed at Norsen Bridge Park.
