Art exhibit at County home

Wayne County Nursing Home will be the location of the exhibition Along The Canal, featuring oil paintings by Helen Bishop Santelli. Helen is a native of Lyons and received a BFA with a major in sculpture from Syracuse Univ., and an MFA with a major in painting from Rochester Institute of Technology. This work was created to publicize the beauty and significance of the Erie Canal. New York State Council on The Arts and Wayne County Council for the Arts funded this project to bring cultural enrichment to County residents and is made possible through the Decentralization Program.

Everyone is invited to a dessert reception Friday, October 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. with harpist Roxanne Ziegler. The show continues until October 21. Hours: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
