Newark Kiwanians send kids to Kamp

0mp Kiwanis in Taberg (Oneida County) will open the season on June 23. Hundreds of disadvantaged kids ages 8-14 will go to camp, thanks to Kiwanians, businesses and concerned community members.

The camp is owned and operated by the New York District Kiwanis Foundation. For the third year, the camp is open to all community organizations, not just Kiwanis Clubs.

Camp activities include arts and crafts, swimming, canoeing, hiking, softball, rainy-day programs, campfires, fishing and more. There are no costs to the parents, and transportation is provided by sponsors.

For more information call Newark Club representative Nadine Brill at (315) 331-3783. This year, Newark is sending two Newark boys to Kamp Kiwanis, the week of July 13-17.
