Program on stoneware at Williamson church

Bruce Waasdorp of Clarence will present a program on blue-decorated stoneware on Monday, September 8 at 7 p.m. in the United Methodist Church basement, 4146 E. Main St., Williamson. The public is invited to the free presentation.

Waasdorp and his wife Vicki are recognized authorities on the jugs and crocks that have become so popular with collectors, and conduct regular stoneware mail auctions. Examples will be displayed, and those attending are encouraged to bring items for identification.

The event is sponsored by the Wayne County Antique Dealers' Association as part of its ongoing goal of provid0ig educational and informational programs for area collectors. The group's 19th Annual Harvest Antique Show and Sale, featuring 49 quality area dealers, will be held on the weekend of October 25 and 26 at the Williamson High School.
