Visitors arrive to view The Wall

flagsPeople began to arrive at Stuart Park Friday morning, the first day to see The Moving Wall here in Newark.

The traveling Vietnam Memorial arrived Wednesday afternoon, and erected Thursday morning. By Friday, the flowers were in place and the flags were flying.

Pictured are some of the state flags on display - the colors of all 50 are flying at the site.

Opening Ceremonies will take place Saturday morning (Aug. 2) at 10 a.m. There will be a Canadian Memorial Service on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Volunteers will remain at the site 24 hours a day, with a campfire for The Last Patrol.

Closing Ceremonies will be held Thirsday, August 7 at 7 p.m.
