Chris and Ginny Christianson spent Thanksgiving Day at the home of their nephew, Gary and Jan Roth and family of Dansville, NY. Other family members were there, too to gather around the dinner table.

Happy Birthday Wishes to Cyril Smith on November 24; to Ann Patric on November 23; and to Joyce Salisbury on November 30.

The PLANT LADY is holding her annual open house at 3058 Goosen Road in Marion. Hours are Friday, Dec. 5 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. and on Saturday the 6 and the 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Something for everyone!

NOVEMBER 29, 1913 - Annual chicken pie supper of the Modern Priscilla Embroidery Club was held at the home of Mrs. M.T. Merson on Thursday evening.

On November 30, following the morning worship service at the First Reformed Church, there a was a session of trimming the Christmas tree and also decorating the church. Refreshments were prepared and served by the Youth Group.

The Community Christmas Concert will be held on Monday, December 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Marion Junior-Senior High School Auditorium. Plan now to attend this very enjoyable musical program.

Vern and Mil Leenhouts spent the long Thanksgiving Weekend with their daughter, Stuart and Joan Bernstein and family of Spring Valley, NY.

Congratulations to Pam Johnson, winner of the Santa at the open house at the Leaning Barn.

There will be a open house at the Walworth Seely Building in Walworth, on December 5, 6, and 7, 1997. Demonstrations, in-store special and Tasty Treats. Happy Holiday greetings from Edie and Pat.

Be sure to stop in and enjoy Historic Marion Annual Holiday Open House and Bake Sale on Saturday, December 6 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and Sunday, December 7 (Noon until 4 p.m.). The Museum is all decorated for the holidays and special displays are in place. Enjoy a cup of hot Wassail and a truffle while you shop at the Museum Gift Shop.

A limited number of the Historic Marion Coverlets are still available plus the latest in a series of Historic Christmas Ornaments (1997 feature is the old Atlantic Hotel). The Library window will feature a "Victorian Christmas" of old games, dolls & toys decorated by members of the Historic Association. Donations for the Bake Sale gratefully accepted (bring to the Museum at 10 am Saturday or call Nancy 926-5078 or Diane 926-5010).

Richards Chapter, #558 OES will have its annual meeting and election of officers on Wednesday night, December 3rd. Members are to wear long colored dresses. Following the meeting the Christmas party will be held in the dining room. Everyone is to bring a $5 gift for exchange. Refreshments will be served by Berenice and Jack Sewert, Margaret Reynolds and Sue Kittle.

There will be no regular meeting on December 17, but the Officers Club Christmas party will be held at the home of Jack and Bunny Sewert at 7:30 p.m. Secret Pals will be revealed and gifts exchanged.

The next regular meeting will be Installation of Officers on January 7, 1998. Officers are to wear long white dresses.
