New sign for Marbletown Schoolhouse

A new sign for the Marbletown Schoolhouse was recently donated by John Zornow, member of the Arcadia Historical Society. The two-sided sign was created by local artist Owen Hughes.

zornow, davis & lewisThe Marbletown Schoolhouse, designed and built in 1876 by noted architect Stephen N. Keener, was donated by the Marbletown Neighborhood Association in 1993. An ongoing project of the AHS, efforts are being made to restore the interior to that of an authentic one-room rural school. Tours, meetings, an annual open house and Strawberry Social are current uses of the building.

Shown in the picture are John Zornow, AHS President Chris Davis, and board member Gil Lewis.
