Chili Contest set

Got a great recipe for chili? Make a pot of it and enter it in the Newark Public Library's 5th annual Chili Contest on March 10!

Bring your chili in a crock pot (or similar appliance) and a copy of your recipe to the library, located at 121 High Street, between 5 and 6 p.m. "Official" judging, by a panel of judges, will take place at 6 p.m. After that, library patrons may sample the chilis and vote for the one they like best.

There is no entry fee. Prizes will be awarded in several categories.

If you would like to enter your chili, please call the library ahead of time (331-4370) so we can make electrical arrangements.
