award photoIEC Electronics Corp. has received the "Pewter Stag Award" from ITT Hartford, for achieving over 1 million hours without a lost time accident. The award is Hartford's highest honor, and has been given out only about seven times in Western New York over the past 25 years.

IEC employees at the Newark facility worked five months without a lost time accident in 1996 to reach 1 million hours. There are over 1,300 employees at the Newark facility.

Pictured are: John Kurzejeski, the IEC Safety and Security Manager; at right is Russ Stingel, IEC President and CEO. The Hartford award is a pewter "Hartford" stag, with a plaque that says, "In recognition of distinguised achievement in accident control."

IEC Electronics is a full service contract electronics manufacturer with two mirror-image facilities: Calidad Electronics in Edinburg, Texas and Accutek Inc. in Arab, Alabama.
