Catholic Schools Week

Finger Lakes area Catholic Schools will be celebrating Catholic Schools week (Feb. 9-14) along with all the Diocese of Rochester schools. Each school will have their unique activities and ways of celebrating each day, but most of the Finger Lakes Catholic schools have decided to do an activity in unison to express their solidarity and similarities.

On Monday, February 10, these Catholic schools will do the popular dance, "The Macarena," each in their respective gyms at 1:30 p.m. Most of the schools are inviting parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends of each school to join them for this fun activity.

Originator of this idea is Kathy Peters, who is principal of St. Michael School in Newark.

Schools participating will be St. Michael's in Newark, St. Mary's in Canandaigua, St. Agnes in Avon, St. Michael's in Penn Yan, St. Francis-St. Stephen's in Geneva, St. Patrick's in Seneca Falls, St. Mary's in Auburn and Blessed Trinity in Auburn.
