Great season for the band pageants

The Junior and Senior High School Bands and Color Guard participated in the recent Pageant of Bands in Gorham. The Junior High Concert Band placed first in the Junior High Class B competition.

The Jazz Emsemble placed second, the Senior High Concert Band placed second and the Marching Band and Color Guard placed first in Class B competition. The Bands were named High School Class B Champions.

BandsThe bands also traveled to the 47th Annual Sherburne Pageant of Bands. The school was one of 37 bands who participated in the largest and oldest band pageant in the United States.

The competition results were as follows. Jazz Ensemble - 1st Place, Class A; Junior High Concert Band - 3rd Place, Junior High Class, Senior High Concert Band - 1st Place, Class A; Marching Band and Color Guard - 3rd Place, Class A Parade. All of the students gave excellent performances throughout the pageant weekend.

In addition to the pageants, the marching band and color guard participated in both the Rochester Lilac Parade and the Williamson Apple Blossom Parade.

All of the students and their teachers would like to thank the families, friends, and community members for their constant support and encouragement.
