It's time to get away! There is a bus trip scheduled for July 15 to the Easter Egg Museum and Carrot Barn with a stop at the Everything Shop. Ham dinner at the Best Western at Cobleskill. or How about a trip to Buffalo? On August 12 there is a trip where you enjoy lunch at The Pier with a view of the Buffalo Waterfront. Tour the city and see mansions, parks, etc. There is a stop at the Visitor Center where you can see all the things Buffalo makes: Wheaties, Cheerios, Keri Lotion, Cardiac Pacemakers. Have a cruise aboard Miss Buffalo.

On Wednesday, September 3, there is an upcoming trip to Toronto to see the Al Jolson Musical. Call Virginia Lupold at 597-4372 for information and reservations.

Another idea is that Evelyn Petty is taking a group to Naples, NY on July 17. They will be seeing a matinee performance of "Lost in Yonkers" at the Bristol Valley Theater, a Neil Simon production. Dinner at the Naples Hotel and a view of the Living Wall. Call Evelyn at 986-4666.

July 2, 1945 - Boos and jeers broke up a public meeting at Marion last Friday to discuss the future of the Branch Prisoner of War Labor Camp being erected here.

Shirley Ameele is recovering at home following surgery.

Frank Camp is recovering from hand surgery.

Grace Franke and Richard Crooks, director of the Canaltown Chorale, provided the special music at the United Church on June 29.

Congratulations! and Best Wishes to Jim and Carry White who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 28.

A baby is born! Congratulations to Ted and Ruth (Bushart) Townsend on the birth of a son, Edward Alan, on June 25th at the Geneva General Hospital. Edward weighted 8 lbs. and 1 oz. Proud grandparents are Stan and Izzie Bushart of South Main Street.

Congratulations, too, to Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bello on the birth of a son, Moses.

Pastor Don White, of the Second Reformed Church, is recuperating following hand surgery.

The Ministry of Music, at the morning worship service at the Second Reformed Church, was provided by David and Julia Wise.

Maude Finch is recuperating from a foot injury.

Russ and Holly Doyle are receiving congratulations on the birth of a daughter, Cheyenne Elizabeth on June 17. She weighed 6 lbs. 3.5 oz. and is 19 inches long. She was welcomed home by her big sister, Amanda Jo. Proud grandparents are Bob and Judy Young of Walworth Road.
