Dolls' Tea Party

The Newark Public Library will have a Dolls' Tea on Wednesday August 6 at noon in the library. Girls and boys ages 5-7 are invited to bring thair dolls to the party. Reservations can be made by calling Miss Maureen at (315) 331-4370.

Dress-up attire is encouraged and parents are urged to bring their cameras to this photo opportunity. Activities will include beloved doll stories, songs, craft and a show-and-tell of treasured dolls. Participants should bring a doll and a sandwich to this event. Drinks and dessert will be provided.

Kindergarten prep

Children who will be starting school this September can attend a kindergarten preparation class at the Newark Public Library on Tuesday August 12 or August 19 from 9:30-noon.

Parents are asked to call the library at 331-4370 to sign their child up for this program.

Miss Maureen will be the teacher at our play school and lead the children through stories, songs, movies and crafts as well as the traditional "firsts" of kindergarten.

There is no charge for this class and children will receive a giant envelope of materials to take home at the end of the day.
