Library takes Footsteps to the Future If you walk on North Main Street in Marion, you'll see black footprints of all sizes painted on the sidewalk in front of the library. Footsteps to the Future kicked off with a mailing to all the residents of Marion, asking them to contribute to the fund which will allow the library to move to its new location, the former Grange. The 50-plus footprints on the sidewalk represent the nearly $7500 in pledges, contributions and memorials raised since the June beginning of this project. The staff, board of trustees and fund-raising committee have been overwhelmed with the positive response of the community to this fund drive. Among the many individuals, companies, and organizations to contribute was a seventh grade health class, which donated $96.83. If you are interested in contributing and have not yet been contacted, call Pam Wolfanger at (315) 926-4933. The library address is P.O. Box 30, Marion, NY 14505. top of
