Savannah Music Fest

Bring your lawn chair, kick back, and enjoy an afternoon of good music, performed by some of the finest talent in Central New York State. Savannah will hold a Music Fest on Saturday, July 26, from 1 to 7 p.m.

Kicking off the afternoon will be Don Hunt's Lake Effect (six-piece ensemble) Jazz Band with three hours of snappy, old-time jazz.Rounding out the day will be the Delaney Brothers (five-piece contemporary) bluegrass band, which will provide three hours of the finest blend of new tradition mandolin, guitar, fiddle, banjo and upright bass bluegrass music in the area. Their reputation in New York and Pennsylvania earned them shared stages with the likes of Dr. Ralph Stanley, The Seldom Scene, The Bluegrass Cardinals, and the "Father of Bluegrass" Bill Monroe. The Delaney Brothers Bluegrass has three albums to their credit.

Admission is $5; school-age kids get in free. The Savannah Chamber of Commerce will provide food and non-alcoholic beverage.
