When Newarkfest was winding down last Sunday, Rose Day was in
full swing:

War cannons boomed across the canal . . . a fly-by
scattered rose petals into the water and onto the crowd, . . . and
Salt of the Earth performed on the E.R.I.E floating stage, docked
at the T. Spencer Knight Park.
