North Atlantic Baseball League plan season

The North Atlantic Baseball League, an independent professional minor league baseball organization announces the following teams and locations as members for the 1997 season:

Newark, NY: Barge Bandits Long Island, NY: Anglers Niagara Falls, NY: Mallards New Castle, PA: Fireworks Altoona, PA: Rail Kings County, MD: Raiders

New Commissioner Bob Dicey, a Massachusetts native, will be responsible for ail baseball operations as well as having the authority to enforce all league rules and regulations.

The 84-game season will begin May 29 and finish on August 29, with playoffs to be held immediately after close of regular season.

Players interested in attending open tryouts for the league should fax the office at (516) 283-2252 to be placed on the mailing list for information/registration materials.
