DeMay residents get eyeglasses fixed

eyeglass repairMany of the residents at DeMay Living Center, a 160 bed nursing facility at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, are seeing a brighter day today, thanks to Daniel Warner of Wayne Regional Eye Center and the DeMay Residents Council.

On March 5, the Residents Council, made up of a dedicated group at the Living Center, sponsored Daniel Warner of Dr. Muth's and Dr. Napoleon's Optical Shop that recently opened at Wayne Regional Eye Center at 1210 Driving Park Avenue.

Warner donated his time and expertise to adjust, clean and make minor repairs to the eyeglasses of any residents needing help.

Mrs. Sharon Benjamin, one of the social workers at the Center, said this is a wonderful example of our Residents Council Leadership team identifying a need and working with the generous professionals at Wayne Regional Eye Center to solve problems and meet the needs of members of our community.
