Beautification Week in Newark

The Village Board has declared May 25-31 as Newark Beautification Week.

At the request of the Beautification Committee, the week was proclaimed to encourage residents to "improve the first impression' of the Village. The timing of the "spruce up' efforts are no coincidence - the Committee would like all visitors to Newarkfest (June 6, 7 & 8) to see the village with its cleanest and prettiest face.

So, trim your bushes, plants some flowers, put out your flag and show your pride in the Village of Newark.

The Beautification Committee is co-chaired by Ange DeJohn and Dick Colacino. Other members include Norm Waterman, Allie Doyle, Peter Blandino, Helen Blandino, Dom Bartucca and Jim Bridgeman.
