Make your own holiday arrangement Want to save some money this year - and feel the pride of making something yourself? For the low cost of $2, you can learn to make your own Christmas arrangement - and have professional help in getting it just right. Newark Public Library will again offer "Make-It-Yourself Christmas Arrangement" on Wednesday, December 10 starting at 6:30 p.m. Professional florist, Elaine Forbes, now retired, will be the instructor. An added feature of this year's workshop will be bow-making. A variety of live greens and the oasis (the base for your arrangement) will be provided. You are asked to bring the following: a container, any decorations you want, such as candles, little ornaments, special ribbon; a sharp knife; garden clippers, if you own them; and gardening gloves (if desired). Pre-registration at 331-4370 by December 9 is required. The workshop is limited to 12 adults. Copyright © 1997 |
