Daycare to open in Williamson

There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 9 at 10 a.m. at the Williamson Area Vocational Daycare Center for the new playground.

The funding for the new playground came from a Health and Safety Grant through the Department of Social Services. The playground also provided a hands-on project for the secondary vocational students in carpentry, conservation, and CAD Drafting programs at the Williamson Area Vocational Center.

The Williamson Area Vocational Daycare Center located at 4440 Ridge Rd. East was established in 1989 and serves 44 children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. Another grant similar to this one has been written for the Flint Area Vocational Daycare Center located in Stanley.
