Mayeu trip was wonderful

Dear Carolyn:

We were very fortunate to be able to go on this wonderful trip. We were invited to go by our foreign exchange student (our German Son) parents.

They all welcomed us like you could just not believe. They surprised us with a weekend trip to Paris. There we saw the Eiffel Tower, and all the sites surrounding areas of Paris. Also we went to see the castle of Louie The 14th.

We also went to Switzerland. We were able to swim in a mountain fed lake with the Swiss Alps all around us.

We stayed in Freiburg. We were shown all the surrounding areas by Stefan and his parents. We shopped in the towns, also visited many churches. We walked up into the mountains and we had picnics.

We also got to see many of the other exchange students that had come over with the GAPP GROUP EXCHANGE. We were even invited to their homes as dinner guests.

Carol, Deb and I would really like you to say thank you, if you can to Mr. Stoker. He worked very hard to organize the GAPP trips and without that, we would never have been able to make the connection, you see one year 10-15 kids come from Freiburg to the U.S.A. for 4-5 weeks, then the next year we send 10-15 kids to Freiburg. What a wonderful experience for the kids as well as the parents.

The trip lasted for two wonderful weeks. Stefan and his parents have promised to come to the U.S.A. next year for a couple of weeks to stay with us. It will be his parents first time in the states.
