Annual dinner, sale benefits Humane Society

The Humane Society of Wayne County is planning its annual pasta dinner and white elephant sale for Saturday, October 25 at the Palmyra Fire Hall. The white elephant sale will begin at noon, dinner will be served from 4 to 8 p.m. Homemade desserts are featured again this year. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12.

The Humane Society is seeking donations for the white elephant sale. Items such as jewelry, books, glassware, videos, etc. in good condition are needed. (Please, no clothing or furniture.) Items may be dropped off at the shelter during its hours of operation: Tues. through Fri. 11 to 6, Sat. and Sun., noon to 4; or at the Palmyra fire hall on Friday, October 24 starting at 10 a.m. Call the shelter for more information (315) 946-3389.

The Humane Society is a not-for-profit organization. Operating the animal shelter depends on fees for adoptions, fundraising events, donations and individual memberships in the Humane Society. The shelter is located at 1475 County House Road in Lyons.
