Couples celebrate 40th Anniversaries

Two local couples enjoyed a celebration from September 27 to October 5. Jake and Sue Bouwens and Burt and Shirley Ford marked their 40th Wedding Anniversaries with a trip to Cape Cod. (The couples were married a day apart.)

The couples are pictured enjoying a gourmet dinner aboard the Cape Cod Railroad. (Jake and Sue pictured first; the Fords pictured next.)

The foursome stayed at the home of Thom Dutton, a Palmyra native, who is known professionally as the Harper Troubadour.

This final photo is of Jake and Thom as everyone relaxes at Thom's Chatham home. Glasses of champagne were raised in celebration.
