Can and bottle drive

The United Church of Marion will be holding a can and bottle drive October 25-26. They are joining the efforts of Make-A-Difference Day - the national day of doing good sponsored by USA Weekend in partnership with the Points of Light Foundation.

Cans and bottles can be dropped off at the church weekdays 9-noon. You can call the church at 926-5501 for pick-up.

On Sunday, October 26 the Jr.-Sr. High youth will be going door to door picking up bottles and cans. Bags of bottles and cans can be left on your doorknobs for pick up if you won't be home.

The money collected from this effort will go to help local needy families.
