Volunteers needed at local Food Pantry

The Marion Food Pantry is in need of volunteers.

The food pantry is open on Thursday evenings from 6 to 7 and on Saturday mornings from 9-10 a.m. It is located behind the Second Reformed Church on Mill Street in the educational building. Volunteers are scheduled on a rotating basis.

The frequency of the individual's work schedule depends on the number of current volunteers involved in the program. Currently, the volunteers are being asked to work on an average of once every two months. This could be even less, depending on the number of new volunteers recruited to help.

Bill McAvaney, coordinator of volunteer scheduling, is working now on the new schedule for 1998. If you have a few hours a year to give to the Marion Food Pantry, please contact Bill McAvaney at (315) 926-5309.
