$5,000 bid buys old medical center The county has finally unloaded the property at the corner of East Ave. and Church St. At Tuesday morning's meeting of the Wayne County Board of Supervisors, legislators approved a $5,000 bid for the former Medical Center building. The offer was made by Keith Nesbitt of Macedon. The county had foreclosed on the parcel, most recently owned by Phillip Tyler of Newark, but was unable to sell it at the May auction. County employees maintained the lawn of the property throughout the summer season, but let it be known that they did not want to keep the decaying building. Sealed bids were also accepted for other properties in other towns - ranging from $5,000 to $1.
